Road Trip to Berea Kentucky

Looking for the perfect road trip to do from Cincinnati, Ohio? My husband Corey and I were lucky enough to road trip to Berea Kentucky, the perfect mini escape.

On a crisp fall day, Kentucky makes a beautiful backdrop for a 3 hour drive. Especially in the early fall when the leaves are changing colors. The trees along the highway are something like a painting.

So let’s travel down 75 to a quaint bed and breakfast, Clover Bottom. Greg and Readith welcomed us as soon as we arrived. It felt like walking into a family members home.

Berea has a lot to offer, from hikes, an art district and kayaking. Corey and I absolutely could not wait to hit the trails and see the beautiful view of the hills of Kentucky.

Ten minutes from the hiking trails of the Berea Pinnacles and twenty minutes from the beautiful Flat Lick Falls Park in Grayhawk, Kentucky is Clover Bottom. If you love waterfalls, Anglin Falls is an another easy hike and only ten minutes from our Inn.

Of course before the hike we had to fuel up. Readith prepared and amazing breakfast for all of the guests staying. Let me tell you… it was filling and delicious.

But one breakfast item stood out among the rest… chocolate gravy. HIGHLY recommend you request this when you stay. I have never had anything like it before!

Greg also had so much to offer us. He took us on an ATV ride, showed us around Berea, and showed us his amazing art. Check out the photo below! We ended up grabbing the amazing sculpture in the top left as a gift for Corey’s dad.

In times like these, a quick and safe getaway was exactly what we were looking for. Clover Bottom Bed and Breakfast took great care of us, and treated us like family! If you haven’t gotten a chance to getaway, consider booking a stay with Greg and Readith. You will have an absolutely amazing experience.

We definitely give Berea and Clover Bottom a 5/5 when it comes to road trip from Cincinnati. It was close, but just far enough away to be the perfect quick getaway to relax. Our favorite part had to be breakfast and hiking the East Pinnacles. But Berea, KY is a great place for art lovers, nature lovers, ATV enthusiasts, and a family-like experience.
