Nothing about this has been easy… my weight loss journey.

TRX Weight loss journey

I have always loved fitness. My first love was soccer. I loved getting out there and running, jumping, training… anything I could do to be moving. But you know, when you become an adult, things become priority, and sometimes you lose sight of your health.

^^ This happened to me. I lost sight of my love for fitness. I lost sight of my love for feeling good and being healthy in general. Jumping back into it has not been easy.

Now, I want to be clear. I am not a doctor, and I cannot tell you how to lose weight. What I can tell you is exactly what worked for me, and that seeking out an expert is always a good choice.

You may have remembered my post a few months ago, My Top 5 Group Fitness Classes in Cincinnati , where I chatted about where I love to go to try new classes. Group fitness has really made me remember how much I love working out. There is no pressure, and someone is always there to tell you what to do, make sure you are doing it correctly, and support you no matter where you are in your journey.

In particular, I am talking about Nicole from Nicole Leisen Personal Training and Group Fitness. Nicole has been guiding me through this journey for two months, and I am so happy not only with my results, but the community I have found in her group fitness classes.

I worked hard for this! I have been getting up three, sometimes four times a week at 5:15am to go to Nicole’s TRX classes. I have been utilizing a diet that has worked for me. I have been walking 5 days a week before work and after my group fitness. I have seriously gone ALL IN. & honestly, I am proud.

Now, me just talking about it, probably makes it hard for you to believe. But I am also going to show you. This is hard for me, so be kind. 😉

I am down 15 pounds and 11+ inches. When my wedding is finally here, I promise to update my weight loss and inches lost (yes, my wedding was a big motivator on this journey, but it wasn’t the only motivator, I don’t think it works like that).

How I lost 15 pounds and 11 inches... no it wasn't easy.

I honestly didn’t even realize where I was until I saw these photos. & never for a second think I think where I was wasn’t okay.. I just want to be better for me and feel good in my body.

I absolutely put my all into this. This did not happen overnight and this did not come easy. There were days and nights where I wanted to give up. I wanted to stay in bed instead of working out, I wanted to eat Wendy’s chicken nuggets for every meal, and I wanted to stop. I wanted to throw in the towel and completely give up.

But here is why I didn’t: I was going to a place where so many other people, of all sizes, genders and mindsets were also getting out of bed everyday to grind. No judgement. THAT. IS. POWERFUL.

I HAVEN’T EVEN TOLD YOU THE BEST PART. Corey, my fiancé, now joins me in going to these classes. SAY WHAAAAAAAAAT?!

It has been absolutely amazing, and I tell you what, we have BOTH never felt better. The combination of body weight and weight training in Nicole’s classes have shown us real results. And honestly, the classes are fun, and ya know what, they are quick – 50 minutes and you leave feeling like you worked HARD. I mean, chances are your body worked real hard.

I highly suggest you check Nicole out. This isn’t an ad. This is just a real person (actually people if you count Corey even though he won’t share his images) who utilized her classes and her expertise for two months, and saw real results. If you follow her on Instagram, she posts TRX workouts, movements, and tips and tricks. She also has online communities and programs that can help you kickstart your weightless journey.

Take it from me, this shit works y’all! I have never felt so good and honestly so proud. If I can leave you with one thing… it’s don’t half ass it. Go all in. Make yourself proud. Love yourself!
