Faster Way to Fat Loss 3 Week Update

Hey everyone! If you have been following me on Instagram @laylaliving you may have noticed I have been posting my meals with the caption “breaking my fast”.

Three weeks ago, I officially began the Faster Way to Fat Loss program with Lindsay Eveler (read more here). I did not join the program to lose massive amounts of weight – that’s never the goal.

I don’t even weigh myself.

Not to say there is anything wrong with it, I just don’t like the way it makes me feel. I joined this program in the hopes of becoming a healthier and happier me… and get my body nice and tight for Vegas… oops, I mean my wedding. 😉

Let me tell you! I have tried plenty of fad diets, workouts and so much more. The Faster Way to Fat Loss program has given me the actual tools to get my health back on track.

  1. Intermittent Fasting
  2. Carb cycling
  3. Watching my macros
  4. Quick, yet exhausting, workouts
  5. Accountability

I have begun intermittent fasting. I usually eat between 1pm and 8pm and fast between 8pm and 1pm (the next day). I know what you are thinking… aren’t you hungry? Not gonna lie, when it gets close to 1pm, I start to notice that I am hungry. But other than that, I am drinking a lot of water, and keeping very busy. I do not know the science behind it, but I honestly feel as though my body has become used to it.

I eat low carb two days a week. On Mondays and Tuesdays I eat less than 50g of carbohydrates. I do not feel restricted on these days, I just be sure to plan my meals ahead. Really, I eat lots of salad and lots of cauliflower. Luckily, I love both, so I do not feel restricted as if I were on a diet. Probably why this has been successful for me – restricting diets just are not my thing.

I watch my macros. The FWTFL program does not count calories. Instead, we used a macro calculator and inserted the data into My Fitness Pal. I log everything I eat – it’s been easy because MFP allows you to scan barcodes and puts in all of the data for you. You can also search some of your favorite restaurants!

I get my workouts in in 45 minutes. Sometimes the workouts only take 20 minutes, I sometimes just add some extra walking or even a few ab exercises (they are my favorite). FWTFL gives you not only workouts you can do in the gym, but also workouts that you can do at home with no equipment. If you have never worked out a day in your life, have no fear, they also have beginner workouts as well.

Lindsay and her group hold me accountable. I post my macros everyday! Lindsay also shares recipes, tips and tricks to staying on track and being healthy. It is nice knowing I am a part of a community filled with amazing ladies working towards a similar goal as I am.

I would post my 3 week progress pictures… but I am saving my before and afters for the final post about the program… stay tuned.
