A few months back Corey and I watched his parent’s wedding video. It was so classic catching friends of his parents (who we know) break it down at the reception and send their well wishes.
We know that it is a trend to have a 10-minute Youtube-esque video, which is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not exactly what Corey and I envisioned for our wedding.
Our photographer, Emmalee, of Love and Dwell Photography, mentioned WeddingMix created her wedding video and how fun and easy it was to use.
What is WeddingMix?
WeddingMix is a fun and modern way to create a wedding video. It stood out to us because it gives us the opportunity to live our wedding over and over again not only from our friends and family’s point of view, but also our own. Damn straight I will be uploading some of my own photos and videos!
Everyone at the wedding can download the WeddingMix App, enter our hashtag keepingupwiththekeiners and take photos and videos directly on the app or import from their phone camera.
Once our big day is over WeddingMix takes everything that is uploaded under our hashtag and creates keepsake highlight and feature videos for us.
It is exactly what we wanted – to relive our big day as if we were there again.
But WeddingMix also helped us realize that it can come in handy when it comes to the most stressful part of wedding planning… the guest list.
Picking people to come to a wedding is extremely difficult. While you don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by not inviting them, you also don’t want to feel as though you must invite people.
The biggest factor in creating our guest list was that we did not want any strangers, or people we have not spoken to in a while. It is going to be the best day of our lives and we want to look out at our closest friends and family, people we speak to almost every day.
We also are not having a huge wedding, so keeping our list small an intimate (as much as we could) was also a big deal.
How exactly is Wedding Mix helping with the problem of not inviting everyone on the planet to the wedding?
We actually want to invite those of you who are not coming to the wedding – whether you can’t come, or you weren’t invited (seriously, sorry – please don’t take it personally – we aren’t made of money) we would also like you to download the WeddingMix app and send us a message – whether it is well wishes or even your best tips for a happy marriage.

Please make sure your profile is set to public in Instagram for at least one day after the wedding, so WeddingMix can grab your stuff.

How cool is this? I seriously cannot wait to see everyone whether it is getting ready for the wedding, driving to the ceremony, great footage of me smashing cake into Corey’s face or just a well wish for our new journey in life.
It is going to be completely beautiful and epic.
